Company request dismissed

Mr Justice Gino Camilleri in the First Hall of the Civil Court has dismissed an application filed by JG Management Consultancy Ltd against Marsa Football Club for the issue of a warrant of prohibitory injunction.

The company had requested the court to prohibit the club from transferring football players until such time as the loans the company allegedly made to the club were repaid in full.

However, the court ruled that it did not sufficiently result that the requested prohibition could be the subject of a warrant of prohibitory injunction.

Neither, said the court, did it result that the warrant was necessary.

The court therefore dismissed the company's request.

Dr Clare Bonello was counsel to the company.

Dr Kris Busietta and Dr Jason Azzopardi were counsel to the club.
