Jonathan Balzan of St Patrick's AC, was the first runner home in the third stage of this year's International Challenge Marathon which came to a close on Sunday. Balzan reached the finishing line in Freedom Square, Valletta, ahead of Briton David Mansbridge and Dane Poul Grenaa. In the overall standings, Grenaa finished first and Mansbridge second. Balzan had to settle for third place overall.

The ladies Challenge winner was again Carmen Hili. It was the third success in a row for the St Patrick's AC runner.
