BALDACCHINO. On November 28, at St Luke's Hospital, MARY, aged 83, widow of Emmanuel from Birkirkara, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Antonia Sacco Ellul and Pauline Restall, living in Australia, nephews and nieces and the members of the Legion of Mary. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Helen's Basilica in Birkirkara where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi will be appreciated.

Lecture on libraries

The US Embassy, in association with the University of Malta Library, the university's division of library and information studies and the Malta Library and Information Association, will be holding a lecture on Developing Library Collections in Times of Financial Stress at the University of Malta Library, Msida on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The lecturer will be William V. Jackson, professor emeritus, University of Texas.
