Drug trafficking charge

A 22-year-old man was yesterday charged with trafficking in heroin and the possession of methadone, cocaine and cannabis.

Magistrate Silvio Meli heard Noel Farrugia, of Marsa, plead not guilty to trafficking in some three grammes of heroin and the possession of about a litre of methadone in circumstances denoting it was not for his personal use on and before Tuesday.

He was also charged with the simple possession of cocaine and cannabis resin.

Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted.
