Worker critical after fall

A worker was critically injured in a fall on a construction site at the San Gwann industrial estate yesterday.

The police said the man, who is over 20 years old, fell off scaffolding about a storey high.

He was found in danger of dying on arrival at hospital.

Health and Safety Department personnel were called to the site.

The police are investigating.
