I am referring to the Mail To Italy explanation by Tony Barbaro Sant, senior manager communications, Maltapost plc.
My question is, when will Maltapost set up procedures for Australia and Malta? How come we cannot insure items when we send items to Malta?
Why does 12 per cent of mail from Australia end up being lost? Australia Post are certainly not at fault, as their track record is impeccable. Why is it that when Australians send in complaints via the website regarding items, the answers are always blaming others outside Maltapost? Why cannot Maltapost start accepting blame and make good for items that were lost?
It is certainly easier when in Malta to follow up on certain issues, but as foreigners, we have no hope at all. Let me say, Maltapost are quite cheeky.
