Marketing information services company J.D. Power and Associates and the German magazine MOT: Die Autozeitschrift recently announced the results of their third German customer satisfaction index (CSI).
For the third year in a row, Toyota is acknowledged by this survey for having the most satisfied customers in Germany, achieving first place with a comfortable margin over the second best brand.
Furthermore, the Toyota Corolla achieved the highest score among all models in contention (859 points) and the Toyota Avensis was second, with 847 points.
The Corolla, Avensis and RAV4 led their vehicle categories and the Yaris was second best among small cars.
This year's J.D. Power Germany CSI is based on the responses of 24,483 vehicle owners, who rated their experiences with their vehicles, their dealers and the cost of ownership after two years.
In particular, the study analyses customer satisfaction based on responses encompassing 77 attributes grouped into four key categories (the importance of each is shown as a percentage): quality and reliability (30%); vehicle appeal (25%), which includes performance, design, comfort and features; service satisfaction (23%); and ownership costs (22%), which includes fuel consumption, insurance and cost of service/repairs.
