HSBC Bank Malta plc has launched a new mortgage programme with zero fees on any home loan taken out and drawn down till January 31, 2005.

Additionally, for those mortgage borrowers who wish to get a first time credit card, bank fees on their card will be waived for the first year.

Borrowers who draw down their loans during this period will also be eligible to participate in a lottery with prizes totalling Lm500.

"A new home represents one of the most important purchases in any person's life. HSBC offers a range of home loans that are designed to suit the requirements of different individuals.

"HSBC offers some of the best terms available and provides a prompt and efficient service. HSBC customers now have another incentive to go for the home they always wished for," John Hackett, HSBC's head of personal financial services, said.
