The European unit at the University of Malta together with the Royal Netherlands embassy in Malta is organising a Bologna to Bergen conference called The Implications Of The Bologna Process And The Lisbon Strategy For Higher Education Institutions tomorrow at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.
The aim of the conference is to convey the new challenges set out by the Bologna-Berlin Communiqué of Ministers, which European higher education institutions are entrusted to undertake. The one-day event will deal with issues pertaining to the Bologna Process and the Lisbon Strategy and its relevance to higher education institutions.
Louis Galea, Minister of Education, Rienko Wilton, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Malta, Joseph Mifsud, head of the University of Malta's European unit and other speakers will address the meeting.
There will also be three expert speakers from the Netherlands at the conference - Karl Dittrich, vice-president of the Netherlands Accreditation Organisation, Wicher Schreuders, assistant director EMLE programme, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands and Marlies Leegwater-v.d. Linden, Ministry of Education, Department for Higher Education, The Netherlands.
