A freephone service introduced by the ETC in July last year to be used for the reporting of illegal employment has so far drawn 1,439 calls, Employment Minister Louis Galea said yesterday. He was replying to a parliamentary question by Jason Azzopardi (PN).

The minister said that between January and September this year, 1,006 persons were found working while not being registered with the corporation. He said 48 were foreigners.
