The Farsons Group has announced the setting up of a fully owned subsidiary company, Farsons (Sales and Marketing) Limited.
The new company's aim is to deliver a better and seamless service to trade customers by coordinating the sales activities of three Farsons' Group companies: Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, Wands Limited and Anthony Caruana & Sons Ltd.
Adrian Tonna has been appointed group sales manager, having previously occupied the position of group trade marketing manager with Simonds Farsons Cisk plc as well as being a company director with Guido Vella Cash and Carry.
"As from November 2004, Farsons (Sales and Marketing) Limited began managing the relationships which these three Farsons Group companies have with all retail outlets, including shops, bars, restaurants and hotels. This new company will take over responsibility for maintaining contact with the Group's trade customers for ordering products and credit control.
"Simonds Farsons Cisk, Wands Limited and Anthony Caruana and Sons Ltd will continue maintaining individual relationships with all their customers but the sales structure will now be better coordinated to deliver an improved and more efficient service," Geoffrey Borg, general manager for sales and distribution, Farsons (Sales and Marketing) Limited, said.
Paul Rapa, Paul Ciantar and Alex Borg Cardona will be responsible for the management of sales in the various channels. All three have been long-term employees with the Farsons Group.
Mr Rapa, who has been with Farsons since 1988 and has been involved in sales, promotions and merchandising activities throughout his career with the company, will be responsible for managing the Take Home Service.
Mr Ciantar, who has been sales manager at Wands Limited since 1993, will take over the role of premise manager, while Mr Borg Cardona will be responsible for key accounts.
