Trelleborg Sealing Solutions yesterday embarked on a two-day autumn European Marketing Conference at the Westin Dragonara Hotel.

The Trelleborg Group acquired the Dowty businesses in Hal-Far, Marsa and Mriehel a year ago. These factories are now trading as Trelleborg Dowty Malta, combining the new ownership with the 40 years of tradition of elastomeric O ring manufacture.

Senior management representatives from 16 European companies are attending the conference with guests from the US and Japan.

Kevin Fisher, president of Busak+Shamban Marketing Europe, said that Malta had been chosen as the conference venue for two reasons: firstly to provide greater exposure of Trelleborg Dowty Malta's excellent capabilities and facilities to the Busak+Shamban European selling forces and, secondly, because conference facilities in Malta represent excellent value for money.

Busak+Shamban is the sales and marketing brand used within TSS globally with annual sales of over €500 million.
