Annual championship dog show

The Malta Canine Society will be holding its annual championship dog show on Saturday and Sunday at the Trade Fair Grounds, Naxxar. Judging dogs at the show will be David Smith, a well known international judge from England.

200 dogs from 44 breeds will be participating at the show, which will commence on Saturday at 4 p.m., with the Gundog and Toy breeds, and with the Junior Handler Class, a competition for boys and girls aged between 10 to 17 years. On Sunday morning the show starts at 9.30 a.m. with the Hounds and Utility breeds participating, while in the afternoon the show starts at 3.30 p.m. with the Terriers and Working breeds, and the finals in which all group winners compete for the coveted Best In Show title.
