Twelve HIV tests out of a total of 3,791 taken at St Luke's Hospital between January and August this year proved positive, Health Minister Louis Deguara told Adrian Vassallo (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday. The minister pointed out that since the tests were anonymous, the numbers could include repeat tests.
