A 22-year-old man charged with the attempted murder of two men in Paceville earlier this month was yesterday granted bail on the condition he does not leave his Qormi home without permission from the court.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima upheld the request for bail made by Anthony Bartolo's lawyer, Robert Abela.

She bound Bartolo against a Lm1,000 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm15,000.

Bartolo is pleading not guilty to the attempted murder of Darryl Luke Borg and Clint Mangion by stabbing them in the neck on October 10 at about 10 p.m.

He is also pleading not guilty to grievously injuring Borg, Mangion and Pierre Grech, the possession of a pen knife and carrying it without a licence from the police.
