Make it accessible

It seems that the topic these days is the rebuilding of the opera house and architect Richard England.

As Muscular Dystrophy Group, we felt the need to write and show our concerns too. It is great to hear that finally this space might be used for better purposes than just a car park. We want to be assured that the new building will be totally accessible for persons with disability.

We still have in mind the building of St James Cavalier, a building designed by Prof. England, which unfortunately left much to be desired in this respect. The National Commission Persons with Disability had a hard time to ascertain that this building was made more accessible in most parts.

We do hope that the government will, this time, take into consideration the needs of all the public, including persons with disability.
