The Public Transport Association feels irate that the media are receiving complaints from private car owners regarding the introduction of bus lanes on our roads.

While I find nothing wrong in having bus lanes if it improves the flow of traffic, yet I still find it hard to believe that bus drivers will not use the bus bays provided for them especially, to allow traffic to flow. They still continue to stop their bus outside the bay to allow passengers to embark and disembark. In all fairness to our bus drivers, on many occasions their "bays" are occupied by selfish, private car drivers. In that case parking on a bus stop should carry a hefty fine and cars should be towed away.
