A 72-year old woman from Dingli is suffering from grievous injuries after falling a height of one storey.

The police said the elderly woman was cleaning the balcony of her residence when she lost her footing and fell.

She was rushed to St Luke's Hospital, where her injuries were not deemed to be life threatening.

The Rabat district police are investigating.
