The Maltese Ladies Kennel Association recently organised the autumn championship dog show at the Cottonera sports complex.

British judge Derek Smith was invited to judge the show, with its winners qualifying to take part in the prestigious Cruft's dog show, to be held in Birmingham, UK, next March.

200 dogs competed over two days. Mr Smith's choice for Best In Show was M. Aquilina's Toy Poodle, Eng. Ch. Aedan Double Dare.

Reserve Best In Show was V. Gatt's Samoyed, Roybridge Silva Nemesis. Best Puppy In Show was D. Hayman's Pug, Fawny Dawn Dwarf Bashful.

The show was held under the auspices of the Maltese National Canine Federation.

The next show will be held at the Trade Fair Grounds, Naxxar, on November 13 and 14.
