During the past two weeks the FOI was requested to deliver presentations on the situation of the manufacturing industry in Malta, as well as the federation's role in the local economy.

On October 11, FOI executive Cecilia Vella delivered a presentation to a delegation of European Commission officials from a variety of EU member states during their one-week familiarisation visit to Malta co-ordinated by the Staff Development Organisation of the Office of the Prime Minister.

On October 19, FOI director general Edwin Calleja addressed a trade delegation, which was accompanied by the La Specia branch of the Confederazione Nazionale dell'Artigianato e della Piccola e Media Impresa (CAN).
