N.C.W. is pleased to note that the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality for Men and Women has published its Quality Service Charter after such a short period since its establishment by law (January, 2004).

The charter is an essential tool for all individuals, men and women, who need information on discrimination based on sex, in particular those who have difficulty in seeking help.

The NCW hopes that discussions on the 2005 Budget will ensure that the Commission has adequate human and financial resources to be able to carry out its many functions effectively, fully aware of its social and economic contribution to society.
