VAT defaulters fined
Seven men were yesterday fined Lm33,684 between them for breaching Value Added Tax regulations.
Emanuel Portelli was fined a total of Lm12,060, Anthony Farrugia was fined Lm6,516, Denis Dowling and Patrick Grech were each fined Lm3,996, Frank Debono was fined Lm3,534, Paul Abela was fined Lm3,450 and Henry Sultana was fined Lm132.
Magistrate Saviour Demicoli fined the men for failing to pay VAT after they had been ordered to do so by the court.
