A photographic exhibition on Malta at St James Cavalier, in Valletta, entitled Malta 24/7, has enjoyed a high attendance.

Twenty-one photographers from Malta, Australia, UK, Canada, Denmark, Germany and the USA took pictures around the clock from July 1 - 7 last year.

The Maltese photographers were Kurt Arrigo, Darrin Zammit Lupi, Joe P. Smith, David Pisani, Martin Bonnici, Alexandra Pace and Katya Caruana.

The exhibition was organised by two Maltese-Australian photographers, Alan Carville and Mark Avellino.

Due to the overwhelming success of the exhibition, Progress Press has decided to publish a 192-page book with the images.

The exhibition, which lasts until Sunday, was also featured on Euronews. It is the first project of its kind in Europe and second in the world, after the USA.

The next venue for a similar exhibition is Canberra, Australia in February 2005.

On November 2 at 7 p.m. a talk will be given by members of the project team at St James Cavallier, open to the public.

The sponsors of the exhibition are the Malta Tourism Authority, Agfa, Howard Johnson Diplomat Hotel, Apple IMC, Emirates and Cisk Export.
