No privatisation of cemeteries planned

The government has no current plans to privatise cemeteries, Health Minister Louis Deguara told Labour MP Stefan Buontempo in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.

Environment Minister George Pullicino said in reply to another question that there are two pending applications before Mepa for the extension of cemeteries, one of them being Addolorata Cemetery.
