It was quite interesting to read the recent series on Strait Street and the role it has played in the history, culture and folklore of the islands and more specifically the capital, Valletta. Well done and thank you.

I remember when a few years ago I was visiting Malta with a friend. We were approaching Strait Street from the north and just as I was about to explain to him the significance of the street we were approached by at least three women who wanted to befriend us.

I should very much like to pose a couple of questions to readers which would assist me in research I am currently conducting.

1. Can anyone provide me with family information in respect of the musician Frans Camilleri? Specifically was he a brother to Dolores Camilleri and son of Paul?

2. Many popular entertainment spots were mentioned in the three-day series but no mention was made of the Pavilion bar or restaurant, among others, which I understand were owned by a family with the nickname Tal-Pavilion. I am sure there are others but in my search I am only focusing on these.

I would be grateful for any information which anyone can provide, including, but not limited to, dates, photographs and/or documents for which I would be happy to pay postage and a service charge if requested.
