Pleads guilty to slightly injuring girl

A 28-year-old man yesterday admitted to slightly injuring a teenager in Paceville on Saturday but pleaded not guilty to trying to seriously injure her.

Olvin Falzon, of Iklin, pleaded not guilty to trying to seriously injure Svetlana Buhagiar at about 10.45 p.m.

He however pleaded guilty to slightly injuring her with a knife, the possession of the knife at the time of the commission of the crime and relapsing.

He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.

Inspector Martin Sammut prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio and Dr Paul Farrugia appeared for Falzon.
