A man and his son, both from Cospicua, were yesterday charged with conspiring to deal in cannabis resin.

Anthony Saliba, 75, and his 32-year-old son Francis Michael Stuart were also charged with the possession of the drug in circumstances denoting it was not for their personal use on and before Saturday.

Anthony Saliba alone was also charged with the possession of ecstasy and the possession of a firearm and ammunition without a licence.

The two men, represented by Dr José Herrera and Dr Roberto Montalto, pleaded not guilty to the charges. Inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted.
