I was in Valletta on October 11 and assisted to part of the traditional Maltese wedding, as part of the Historic Cities Festival by the MTA. I was disgusted and ashamed at the lack of organisation by the organising committee or the on-the-spot coordinator.

The scene was very simple: the speaker and the public were on the side of the Santa Caterina D'Italia church. The actors were near the Victory church on the opposite side. In between them a continuous flow of the traffic blocking the audience from the actors!

The very simple solution (if the traffic could not be diverted or suspended) was to let the traffic pass behind and not in front of the audience.
