Hilton Malta beach clean-up

As a founding member of International Hotels Environment Initiative (IHEI), Hilton's mission is to promote the continuous improvement of environmental performance by the hotel industry worldwide.

IHEI forms part of the Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum. During September, member hotels were encouraged to carry out various environmental and social related projects to help improve our world.

Hilton (Malta) in collaboration with Peter Calamatta - The Garden Shop Nursery, took part in the 'Hotels Environment Action Month' by planting endemic plants including the Maltese Rock Centaury (Malta's national plant) on their grounds.

Hilton (Malta) General Manager, Friedrich Schaefer, later led a group of Hilton Malta employees during a beach clean-up activity on the foreshore next to the Hilton hotel.
