Alternattiva Demokratika has set up its first ever Gozo regional committee, which it launched at a press conference in Victoria yesterday.

Chairman Harry Vassallo described the establishment of the committee as a "milestone in AD's history".

For the first time a regional committee will be permanently working in one particular district, he said.

This also meant that Gozo would no longer be given attention only during electoral campaigns, but constantly through a committed group which would be dealing with issues affecting Gozitans.

The regional committee will serve as a link between the Gozitan electorate and AD.

One of its first priorities will be to encourage frank and open discussion among those who have the well-being of Gozo at heart. Anyone wishing to contact the regional committee may do so by sending an e-mail to gozo@ alternattiva.org.mt.
