The First Hall of the Civil Court yesterday ordered the editor of KullHadd, Felix Agius, to pay Fr Joe Borg Lm450 libel damages over an article that appeared in the newspaper over seven years ago. Mr Justice Philip Scibberas ruled that the article published in the weekly on February 23, 1997 was libellous and defamatory.

Fr Borg had explained he had particularly felt libelled as the article depicted him as a part of an "internal conspiracy" within the Nationalist Party.
