Almost 8,000 vehicles failed the VRT test between January and August, information given in parliament shows.

Transport Minister Jesmond Mugliett said that 72,677 tests were held and 7,978 vehicles failed. The minister said in reply to another question that there are 271,195 motor vehicles including 203,959 private cars, 12,714 motorcycles and 44,562 commercial vehicles.
