Wardens seem to be a favourite subject with letter writers, most of whom portray wardens as inhumane robots with an indiscriminate mission to search and destroy. In the past years, I had three encounters with this species. In all three cases I have found local wardens to be courteous and polite.
The most recent incident involved three wardens, myself and a third party. This parking case was dubious but the wardens were again courteous and polite. I simply moved my car to another space.
Not so the third party, who made a scene, and a fool of himself, in the middle of a busy road. I noticed how the wardens kept their cool and while two tried to reason with the third party, the other quietly wrote and served the fool with a well deserved ticket.
