Obituary

ASCIAK. On October 10, at St Luke's Hospital, CLYDE, aged 41, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. A beloved son to Carmel sive Lino and his wife Nellie and a precious brother to Noel and his wife Anna. He will be remembered and never forgotten by all his aunts, uncles and other relatives, Mgr. Lawrence Gatt, the nuns, amongst whom Sr Gizwina, all the residents and staff of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, where he was a resident.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital on Friday, October 15 at 9.30 a.m. for the chapel of Id-Dar tal-Providenza where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Siggiewi cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated.

Franco-German Concert

The Mdina Cathedral Museum Commission, the Alliance Francaise and the German-Maltese Circle are holding a Franco-German vocal and instrumental concert at the Cathedral Museum, Mdina on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. as part of the Malta Historic Cities Festival.

Star Attraction

Milton Morales, better known as Milton, who is a regular lead dancer in the Sunday show of Canale 5, Buona Domenica, hosted by Maurizio Costanzo, will be the star attraction during a one-hour live performance on October 31 at Fuego, Qawra.

Closed To Traffic

Our Lady of Sorrows Street, Hamrun will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. today and tomorrow due to works. The Malta Transport Authority urged motorists to exercise caution.

Teresian Spirituality Conferences

IMAX Day Out

The Eden Leisure Group is organising the 'IMAX Day Out' - a weekend on Saturday and Sunday dedicated only to giant IMAX films.

There will be a variety of 2D and 3D films available to watch at IMAX, such as the latest release Bugs 3D and Apollo 13, Space Station 3D; Adventures in Wild California and others.

There will also be a face painter and balloon modeller between 4 and 6 p.m. on both days.

The Iklin Holy Family Community is organising Solidarity Week from Sunday to October 24. Waltzes From Vienna

The Don Bosco Theatre, Victoria opens its season with the operetta 'Waltzes from Vienna' by Johann Strauss on November 20 and 28 at 7 p.m..

Taking part will be the Gozo Youth Orchestra and the Don Bosco Theatre Choir under the direction of Mro Joseph Grech.
