What was formerly the first manufacturing facility of C. Fino & Sons Ltd at the Mriehel Industrial Estate was last week reopened as a 2,000 m2 display area for a range of new and existing products imported or manufactured by the group.

The Fino range, on display during an open week from tomorrow to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., includes bedrooms, living areas, dining rooms, spare bedrooms, office furniture and parquet flooring, apart from accesssories, occasional furniture and Fino's own reproduction furniture.

Ruth Farrugia, sales and marketing director, told The Sunday Times that the company is mainly involved in big manufacturing contracts and on export orders, apart from the French polished Maltese credenzas in walnut and olivewood with orange stringing.

Mrs Farrugia took journalists around the huge area, which has lights that are sensitive to movement, so they switch on and off as you go by, and pointed to a play area that can keep little children occupied while parents get their quotations.

Among the international brands represented are Chateau d'Ax leather and fabric sofas, Mercury household furniture and Veneta Cucine. Attractive promotional deals are on offer this week, Fino said in a statement.
