New paramedics 'must be employed'
Newly qualified paramedics must be employed by the Health Division to reduce staff shortages and improve the health service, the Union Haddiema Maghqudin insisted during a meeting with Health Minister Louis Deguara.
The union said a number of students who completed their course had not yet been employed by the Health Division.
It added that agreement was reached between the two parties for the union to submit its proposals about the issue in writing.
