The Malta Philatelic Society is inviting the public to visit its annual exhibition, Maltex 2004, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Phoenicia Hotel, in Floriana.

Exhibits by the society's members include a study of correspondence by Count Giovanni de Lazara, the enlargement of the EU on May 1, heraldry, thematics, models of postal carriers and vehicles.

Maltapost plc will be present with a temporary branch post office and will be issuing an occasion card with an imprinted King Edward VII reprinted stamp cancelled with a commemorative postmark. The complete Malta Stamp Collection Album will be displayed and tokens will be offered to children courtesy of Maltapost plc and various Maltese and European dealers.

Maltex 2004 will be open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
