Music and art festival in aid of children

A music and art festival will be held at the Trade Fair Grounds, in Naxxar between November 26-28 in aid of Amanda Marga, the Mission Fund and the Arka Respite Centre. Amanda Marga supports homeless and handicapped children both in Malta and Albania.

A music and art festival will be held at the Trade Fair Grounds, in Naxxar between November 26-28 in aid of Amanda Marga, the Mission Fund and the Arka Respite Centre.

Amanda Marga supports homeless and handicapped children both in Malta and Albania. The aim of the festival is to help in the development of the Amanda Marga school in the south of Malta and Albania and the children attending it. The money raised will also assist the Mission Fund which supports missionaries who help children around the globe and the Arka Respite Centre in Gozo, a support centre for people with special needs.

The festival will continue in Gozo on December 4 at the Dun Bosco Oratory.

Shows, exhibitions, auctions, and entertainment for children are some of the activities planned. Bands and artistes such as Tribali, Ira Losco and Sigo will perform during the festival.

Representatives of the festival will be busking in Valletta, Rabat, Bay Street and at the university's canteen in the days prior to the festival when they will distribute flyers, collect donations and perform tribal music by means of a djembe.
