Mat Fraser at St James Cavalier

Mat Fraser is the next artist to feature in an event of Actionbase Studio's Inprogress series.

Mr Fraser, who is being brought to Malta by the British Council, is performing at St James Centre for Creativity on Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m.

The British Council has this season shown interest in collaborating with the Actionbase Studio on a number of events and this is the first such collaboration.

Mr Fraser says this about himself in his provocative website (http://www.matfraser.com): "I am a disabled person that wants to get into music, presenting, acting".

In the wake of the disaster that hit studio in the September 2003 floods, it became sadly clear that a venture such as Actionbase cannot go on depending merely on annual membership support. Heavy running costs and unpredictable expenses need firmer support than that. From this year, therefore, the studio is asking for a supporting contribution each time one attends an event there.

Seats for Inprogress events can be reserved against a supporting contribution of Lm2. Reservations can be made by e-mail at victore@maltanet.net Seating is very limited, so one is advised to make early booking.
