Lm129.2 million have been spent so far on the Mater Dei Hospital, Health Minister Louis Deguara said in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.

He said this figure included sums spent before the design and built contract was signed with contractor Skanska in 2000. It also included payment for medical equipment and consultancy.

The minister was replying to a question in parliament by Labour MP Chris Agius.
