The Malta Open Championships, organised by the Malta Sports Club Tennis Section under the auspices of the Malta Tennis Federation, reaches their climax today with the singles' finals.

In the ladies match, 13-year-old Elaine Genovese faces the experienced Lisa Camenzuli. The latter starts favourite but Genovese is a player to watch. She has impressed lately in Tennis Europe competitions and could prove to be a difficult obstacle for Cam-enzuli to clear.

The men's final presents an interesting encounter involving the methodical Marcus Delicata and aggressive youngster Willco Moggre, of Holland.

Moggre eliminated Matthew Debono 6-2 7-6 in a closely fought semi-final while Delicata beat Daniel Ceross 7-6 6-0.

Doubles final: Matthew Debono/Matthew Asciak vs Daryl Delicata/Marcus Delicata 6-2 6-4.
