A Qormi man was yesterday cleared of damaging a car with a pen-knife after a magistrate ruled that the charge had not been sufficiently proven.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera cleared Sebastian Vella, 45, of damaging Maria Seguna's car and the possession of the pen-knife without a licence on October 26, 2002.

Police Inspector Raymond D'Anastas prosecuted.
