The culture of death

Having just watched on internet the beheading of a hostage by Islamic militants, I cannot but make a few reflections.

In the first place, what is the fight here? Will the brutal butchery convince the rest of the world that these militants want a better future?

Any person of good will, whatever their creed, will denounce and reject these people, if people they are. For in truth they have lost trace of humanity, no longer fashioned in the image of God.

This video on the internet is a clear picture of people who have fallen below the level of bestiality as animals kill for survival not for vendetta or pleasure. It is a testimony to the culture of death out of which nothingness can come about.
