No new licences for cabs

The Transport Authority does not intend issuing licences to unlicensed karozzini (horse-drawn cabs).

The information was given in parliament by Transport Minister Jesmond Mugliette in reply to a question by Mario Galea (PN) who said that if licences were not issued, a few people would continue to enjoy a monopoly. These people, he said, were trading their licences at exaggerated prices.
