Attard council's stand on petrol station

We Refer to the article 'Residents oppose plans to open petrol station' (The Sunday Times, September 5). While your reporter mentioned MP Gavin Gulia (MLP), MP David Agius (PN) and Harry Vassallo (AD chairman) as supporting the residents, he omitted to mention the Attard local councillors completely.

This omission on your reporters' part may give a false impression to the Attard residents that the local council was not supporting them in the symbolic protest.

The Councillors who attended were Dr Herbert Messina Ferrante, who addressed the media and residents, expressing the council's objection against such a project, Marco Spiteri (PN), John Bonnici and Alfred Zammit (MLP).
