A Valletta man was yesterday charged with threatening two VAT inspectors on Monday morning.

Stephen MacKay, 28, was charged with threatening Manuel Azzopardi and Anton Borg, failing to give them information when requested and breaching the peace.

He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspector Josric Mifsud prosecuted.

Dr Roberto Montalto and Dr Edward Zammit Lewis appeared for MacKay.
