Teenagers arrested over ecstasy

Two teenagers were arrested by drug squad police in the early hours of yesterday morning after they were found in possession of ecstasy pills at an entertainment spot near Rabat, the police said.

One of the lads, a 19-year-old, was held for allegedly being caught in possession of 84 pills after he was observed selling the tablets.

The other arrest was of a 16-year-old who had two pills.

The two are expected to be arraigned and accused of trafficking and being in possession of ecstasy.

Police Inspector Nazren Grixti from the drug squad is leading the investigations.
