Ten fashion students from Malta's Manzoni Tuition Centre will showcase their talent at the Manzoni, Moet & Chandon Student Fashion Design Competition.

The event, which is open to the public and sponsored by Moet & Chandon, will be held at the Fash'N Bar, in Paceville, on October 28.

The competition is a means of providing the students with an opportunity to present their designs to a panel of judges, journalists and personalities from the international fashion industry.

The selection process will include the evaluation of design, presentation and artistic skills. An award for excellence in fashion design will be awarded to the winner. The competition will be followed by a party.

Those who are interested in seeing the designs but cannot make it to the competition will have the chance to view them during a three-week exhibition that opens on October 23, at the Manoel Theatre Shop Foyer, in Valletta.

The Manzoni Tuition Centre provides courses for students interested in developing a career in fashion design. Students get to participate in the realities of a fully functional fashion house through the Manzoni Fashion House where they can participate in the making of garments, the development of a fashion collection and the making of a fashion show, the centre said.
