Since the Upper Barrakka was restored, it became the attraction of those who rent it for special occasions. It is not known whether it has been restored for the public or for renting. As far as I know this is a public garden. I do not know for how long the public gardens can be kept closed for special occasions.

This garden is unique for the metropolitans, especially for the children and the aged. Generally you see the same people there, except tourists. With the multiple occasions held there, the citizens of Valletta are deprived of it. On the occasions held, the guests (some of them gratis) are happy, while the children and aged of Valletta are not, otherwise they have to pay for entrance or remain at home.

Besides the Upper Barrakka there are also the Kalkara Gardens, the Floriana Gardens on the bastions, which are very spacious, the Argotti and San Anton Gardens in Attard. These can be easily licensed, leaving the children and the aged of Valletta quiet because they have no other choice.
