Two to be charged over ecstasy

Two men are expected to be charged in court in the coming days after they were allegedly found in possession of 95 ecstasy pills, the police said.

On Thursday, the police searched a Marsa shop and found that the shop owner, a 29-year-old from Msida, was in possession of 30 pills.

In another operation, yesterday morning, the police stopped an 18-year-old from Bugibba in Sta Venera and searched him and a garage in the area. The search yielded 65 ecstasy pills and counterfeit money.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano opened an inquiry and appointed several experts to assist him.
